Not really sure what the Swede? It is a cross between a turnip and a cabbage with a strong aroma. You can eat the root raw, fried, boiled or mashed up with potatoes.
One cup of Swede is only 66 calories, no fat and no salt! They are a great source of fiber, vitamins and minerals. They are high in potassium, magnesium and phosphorus, and vitamin C.

4 turnips4 carrots
2 tbsp. coconut palm sugar (see it here)1 tablespoon butter
¼ Cup skim milkDirections
Peel the turnips and cut into 1 inch cubes and place in a saucepan. Add cold water to the Swede covered. Bring the water to a boil and when the plug goes into the Swede easily and cleanly, then drain Grate carrots. all in medium-size Bowl. Add the turnips and potatoes until you no longer see the pieces. Add the sugar and butter until evenly distributed. Place in the oven at a low temperature of about 100 degrees, to keep warm. Keep the dish, covered, to prevent it from drying out.
